ZAN e.V. was founded in 2001 on the initiative of Nadia Qani-Schwarz in Frankfurt.
The aim of the association is to promote and support Afghan women who have left their homeland and are now living in Germany. In Frankfurt we offer the education program for Afghan women, which is aimed specifically at women who had no chance of education in their home country.
We also run a coordinating counseling center that provides orientation for women in Frankfurt and Germany.
ZAN is a founding member of DaMigra e.V. and the Association of Afghan Organizations in Germany e.V. and is involved in the Federal Conference of Migrant Organizations in Germany and in the Migrant Organizations Network for Democracy.
